News Today 3 17 07 - New Forum Launched |

Hello everyone! Following my last news story, it became clear that the preferred option was to add a forum. So, that's been done! I've now turned off all comments on the site here. The new forum is located at this URL: http://forum.djssims.com/, so feel free to register and post there if you have any questions!
The site here will not be changing. All content on the forum will also be available on the main site for those of you who don't like forums. The one exception to this, however, are any beta versions of hacks or programs that I'm not ready to release to the public yet. I'll be adding links to all the hacks, careers, and programs that have specific threads for them already created soon so that if you do have problems or need help you can click the link from the main site here to take you to the forum!
So, that said, I hope you enjoy the new forum! I'll be posting all future updates both here AND on the forum, so you can now pick which site you prefer to get my custom content and hacks from.

News Today 3 15 07 - New Hack, Hack Updates, Input Wanted! |

Hello everyone! Sorry for the missed update last week, things got crazy again in real life. But, that's all passed and now I've got some shiny new stuff for you! There's quite a bit so I'm going to go through this rather quickly:
There's a new hack available that tweaks several things on the juicer from Seasons. First, the hack adds a recipe book to the juicer so you can see precisely what produce you need to make each kind of juice, as well as the effects of said juice. Second, the hack allows you to also direct your sim to check the juicer's current stock, which will output a text notification with the numbers and grand total of all the different fruits in your juicer. And last, but not least, the juicer has had a capacity increase so that it can hold 300 items instead of the default Maxis 50. You can get the hack on the Sims 2 Hacks page.
I've still been working on updating my hacks, and I've found that the following do not need updated despite earlier reports:
Potion of Vampirism
Potion of Lycanthropy
Vampire Biting Control Fixes
In addition to all that jazz, these hacks have been updated and should be redownloaded:

News Today 3 2 07 - 2 New Seasons Hacks, 3 Updated Hacks |

Hello everyone! Been a long time, but I've finally got some updates for you! First off, I've checked all my hacks for compatibility, and any hacks that need updates are located on this page. As they get updated, though, they'll be moved to this page. Note though that even though they're on those pages, they're also on the main hack pages as well, so you can access them there too.
So, that said, the Auto-Recycling Newspaper, Ownable Cars Cost Money, and Less Sloppy Eating hacks have all been updated for Seasons. Get them on the updated hacks page.
Secondly, I've made two new Seasons hacks for you all. The first controls the effect of the ladybug swarms outside the Lovely Ladybug House so they're more sane. The second hack makes it so there's absolutely no chance of getting a plant sim for those of you who want to avoid the supernatural elements. Get them on the Sims 2 Hacks page.

News Today 2 15 07 - No Update This Week--Again! |

Hello again everyone! I know you probably were hoping for something new, but once again I must disappoint you! I do have several neat ideas I've recently come up with that I'm developing though, so we'll see if I have one of those available for next week or not.
Anyhow, a few things I want to let you know about: First off, one of the main reasons for lack of updates is a new project I'm working on, and that's what has been taking up my time. However, it's coming along nicely, and I should have a bit of news about it within 2 weeks.
Second: Now that Life Stories is out, you may want to know if any of my hacks or anything like that work for it. The answer? I have no clue. Unfortunately, I have no interest in Life Stories at all, and I don't intend on getting it anytime soon. Due to this, I will not be supporting any of my hacks or other content if it is used in Life Stories for the time being anyhow.
Maybe someday in the future if I get Life Stories I'll make sure some specific things work for it, but at this point I don't even want to bother. This is mainly due to the fact that I'll have to update a bunch of my hacks all over again when Seasons comes out, so I'm not going to mess with making sure everything works with Life Stories, a game I don't even have, and Seasons. I had to pick one and I went with the expansion pack.
But, like I said, someday I may make versions of my hacks for the Life Stories game. But until then, please do not email me or make comments asking for help if you're trying to use the content here in Life Stories. Should you choose to use these items in your copy of Life Stories, you are doing so at your own risk.
Anyhow, that's all I wanted to let you know. Hopefully I'll have an update for you all next week. Until then, stay tuned! :)

News Today 2 8 07 - No Update This Week |

Hello everyone! Just wanted to drop a note letting you know that there will be no update this week unfortunately. I've still got a lot of various unfinished projects here, and at this point I have no idea about which will be finished in time for next week, heh.

News Today 2 1 07 - New Pets Related Hack |

Hello everyone! Small update this week, but finally something new! Today I have a new hack available to fix something that's been bugging me for a long time. Have you ever noticed that cat litter in this game lasts for all eternity? This is not how real life works.
Why Maxis charges for refilling the pet food dishes but not for cleaning the litter box is beyond me. So, you can grab this new hack from the Sims 2 Hacks page that will make it so your Sims are charged 5 simoleans every time they clean the litter box.

Domain Issues - Now Resolved! |

Hello everyone! Err, those of you that can actually GET IN to my site at the moment anyhow...
I missed the deadline for my domain renewal (apparently the warning I'd normally get that it was about to expire either bounced or got blocked server side by my stupid ISP's spam filter (that I've since changed the settings on)).
Anyhow, the domain is renewed now, but the change may take a while to propagate. So until that time (usually 24-48 hours) some of you may be able to reach my site while others will get a domain expired message. So if you see anyone asking and you can read this message, please let them know what the problem is! :)

News Today 1 25 07 - Sims 2 Collection Creator Update |

Hello everyone! Another update tonight, this one for one of the programs rather than hacks. The collection creator has been update to fix a few bugs, so it should work much more smoothly now and not throw up any errors. See the Sims 2 Programs page for more information.

News Today 1 18 07 - Update to Home Shopping PC, Wolf Signs |

Hello everyone! It's been a long time coming, but it's here now! The home shopping PC has been updated! It now has bugfixes for what was changed in the Pets EP, and it also now supports buying Pet collars, and, yes, even buying pets. :) In addition to that, the Wolf signs (both Anti and Attraction) have been updated, and you should redownload them to get the improved code. Be sure you read the note below the download link.
Get both of these updates on the Sims 2 Hacks page.
That's all for this week. The new stuff I mentioned is STILL being polished, and I've still got several things that I want to get bug fixes done for. At this point, the top of the list is the Collection Creator, I have two known bugs to fix for it. And on top of all that, I'm starting development on yet another program. And between all THAT and real life, I'm pretty busy. :P

News Today 1 13 07 - No Update This Week |

Just wanted to drop a note and let you all know that I'm not going to have an update this week, but I will definitely have an update for you all this coming week, including some new stuff and several updates, including an update of the home shopping PC (finally!)
So look forward to that, as well as news of another up and coming project (that has been my primary focus for this past week) that is also slated for release soon. :)
