  • Advent Calendar 2006 Day 8 - Driving a Car Costs Money

    Description:
Are you annoyed by the fact that the ownable cars have no maintainence charge and never need repair? Well, I may be the only one, but I made this hack for myself and figured that someone else may like it too!

This hack adds a charge of 30 simoleans to the ownable cars for every time you use it. Why you say? Two main reasons:

1.) As stated above, the cars have no maintainence costs and never need repair, so this at least adds some sort of extra charge to them, thus making things a little more challenging.
2.) Most sims who can afford cars have entirely too much money as is.

So if you're tired of your Sims living the good life with absolutely no challenge and have stacks of simoleans sitting around, this may be the hack for you!

NOTE: This new version is now compatible with Seasons, Pets, OfB, and NL and will not interfere with hacks such as Pescado's "Anti Watch Out!" Money will now be deducted as they leave the lot rather than before they get in.

NOTE 2: Updated on 3/15/07 to fix a thing that I didn't catch where it will also charge non-owned and NPC cars. Oops! Now only affects ownable cars. Sorry about that. :P

    Requires: The Sims 2 Nightlife

Last Updated 3/18/07 - Fixed another bloody bug. Argh. Works now though, but will charge 15 simoleans when they leave and 15 when they come back. It was the best, most unobtrusive area I could find to insert the code.

    Description:
Tired of your nannies smacking your sims upside the head every time they have a free moment? Well be pranked no more! This hack will do the following to pranks:

  • NPCs will NOT be permitted to perform pranks. Period. Nannies don't need to throw water balloons at anyone.
  • Pranks will not be permitted autonomously on any lot that is not residential.
  • Pranks will still, however, be permitted autonomously on residential lots.

    Less Sloppy Eating

    File Size: About 1 KB

    Description:
By request, here's a hack to make sims eat neater than before! Now, any sim with at least 3 neat points will always eat neatly. Any sim with 2 or lower neat points will still have the chance to eat messily though. This hack also reduces the farting after the meal chance for sloppy sims from 10% to 5%.

NOTE: The new version for Seasons will NOT overwrite the old file, so make sure you delete the old package, which is named: djslesssloppyeatingOfB.package

    Auto Recycling Newspaper

    Description:
Tired of those newspapers piling up and being notified every morning that you won't get anymore newspapers because you have too many? Is your maid too lazy to clean the newspapers up? Well fret no more! Now you can have the latest innovation from the scientists of SimCity, the Auto-Recycling newspaper! It will be delivered as normal. Shortly after the new paper is delivered, the old will conveniently disappear.

Updated For Seasons: This is now fixed to include the new code for the weather report. The newspaper also takes into account the ability to compost. If you have a composting machine on the lot, the newspaper will NOT delete itself. Otherwise, it will like always.
